Privacy in Detail

mrkdwn is built for privacy:

Local by default — without an active cloud, no file leaves the device.
No trackers, no analytics, no ads.
OCR & AI on-device — no images/text in the cloud.
Optional encryption (Nextcloud AES, PDF password).
External content: external images/links in notes connect to their source only when viewed — you stay in control.

Read it in the app: Settings → Privacy.

Settings → Security & Diagnostics → App Lock. Protects access via Face ID / Touch ID, with a configurable timeout.

This area contains:

FAB (⊕) → Import brings in existing files (e.g. from “Files”). mrkdwn detects name collisions and offers rename/overwrite.

If you like mrkdwn: Settings → Tip Jar. Voluntary support for development — no ads, no forced subscription.
