7. Projects, Lists & Moving
Order for your notes — projects, sorting, filters and moving.
Projects & Subprojects
Folders are called Projects (top level) or Subprojects (nested) in mrkdwn.
- Create: FAB (⊕) → New Project or New Subproject (depending on level).
- Open: tap. Go back via the navigation bar.

The project/folder structure in the list view.
Lists & Sorting
Use the sort menu (in the section header) to sort by:
- Name (A–Z / Z–A)
- Modification date
- Creation date
- Size
Set the default sorting under Settings → List View.

Tags & Filters
- Assign tags per file (see Long Press ).
- Use filters to show only files with a given tag or from a given storage (iCloud/Nextcloud/Local).

Filtering the list by tags.
Move a File into a Project
Long press a file → Move to Project… → pick the target (or Top level).
- The move is propagated correctly to sync: iCloud moves within the container, Nextcloud via a server-side MOVE.
- No duplicates, no “zombie” reappearing.

Moving a file into a project via the context menu.
Delete & Trash
- Swipe a file (right→left) → Delete.
- With an active cloud it deletes everywhere, keeping a local Trash copy.
- Trash: FAB (⊕) → Trash. There you can restore or delete permanently.
- Deleting a project shows a confirmation (all contents are deleted too).

Search
- Global: magnifier icon at the top of the list — searches titles & content of all documents.
- In a document: in the open document, pull down from the top → search bar, matches are highlighted.

The global full-text search across all documents.
